Daim Tårta



This is not the Daim cake that you find at Ikea. It's so much better!!
My Mom taught me the recipe so it's even more important to me. 
Plus it's super easy to make :)

DAIM TÅRTA

Base:

2 eggs 
145 g (2 dl) sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
150 g hazelnut flour 

Topping:

250 ml cream
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
100-120 g Daim crushed

Preheat the oven to 175 C. Prepare a spring cake tin covering it with baking paper. In a bowl whip the eggs with sugar into a fluffy foam. Mix the baking powder together with hazelnut flour and add in the first bowl still mixing carefully. Pour into the cake tin and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
Let cool. 
Prepare the topping whipping the cream into a hard foam. With the help of a sharp knife crush Daim and mix it plus both sugars with cream. 
Remove the collar of the cake tin and place the cake on a serving plate.
Spread topping generously on the cake and place in the fridge until served.
